Google Search Console is one of the basic tools of SEO. This is a free tool which is provided by google. Beginning it was known as Google Web Masters Toll. By using this, it is very helpful for the verification of website's ownership. Google consider this tool as a mock point, because google can make a communication with website and vice versa. Errors occurs related to title; hyperlink can also be communicated with google.

 Google provides five methods for google search console verification. 

  1. File verification Method: - Also known as recommended method. Search console verification is a way to prove who actually owns website.
  2. Meta Tag Method: - Meta HTML tags are used for the additional information about the page.
  3. Google Antics Method: - This method is to collect details of visitors like their OS, network, browser, device etc.
  4. Google Tag Manager Method: -Mainly for adding tag or tracking code.
  5. DNS Data Record Adding Method: - user can add DNS data record, to add DNS TXT records to verify site ownership.

Steps Of Google Search Console

  1. Copy the URL 
  2. Search, Google search console in new tab
  3. Click on the start button
  4. Copy URL of page and paste it on add property area in console
  5. Paste URL in URL inspection 
  6. If it displays "URL is not on google", then click on test live
  7. IF it shows "URL is available on google", then click on request
  8. Select sitemap option on the left side of console page
  9. Go back to blog page and on the URL portion type " /sitemap" and copy it
  10. paste it on sitemap option in console page.

Site Map

Site Map is an XML document which is submitted in google as a part of SEO. This helps google to scroll easily and also helps to know about the priority of page, changing frequency, last modification date, URL etc. Its maximum file size is 10Mb and maximum number of URL is 50000.
